Type C mobile intensive care unit

Mobile intensive care unit on MAN TGE
White MAN TGE Type C intensive care ambulance with box body and high-visibility markings

The Type C is Deltamed’s mobile intensive care unit: a box body in sandwich panels with aluminium walls, built on a 5-tonne MAN TGE chassis with twin rear wheels. The interior offers 3650 × 2010 × 1950 mm of working space, lined in ABS, with a full technical compartment at the front left, external hatches to tall storage compartments for intervention equipment on both rear sides, and underfloor storage. A ceiling console carries electrical and oxygen connections for medical devices, and the hydraulic stretcher table slides laterally for access from either side.

The vehicle is designed to carry a complete intensive-care inventory: defibrillator-monitor, ventilator, two syringe pumps, fixed and portable suction units, ultrasound, a chest-compression device, and full immobilisation and patient-transport equipment — scoop stretcher, spine board, KED, vacuum mattress and splints, and a powered main stretcher with child restraint system — to EN 1789. A body-integrated light warning system offers multiple signalling configurations.
