Type B emergency ambulance
The Type B is Deltamed’s high-volume emergency ambulance, built on the Volkswagen Crafter van platform and produced in series on dedicated lines. The patient compartment is fully lined in thermoformed ABS over aluminium and stainless-steel backing panels, with high-performance thermal insulation and ABS-clad cabinetry offering multiple storage compartments.
Climate is engineered for every operating state: 5 kW air conditioning, plus three independent heating sources — engine coolant while driving, electric while stationary on external power, and a diesel-fired heater running from the vehicle tank in any conditions. Compartment functions are controlled through push-buttons and a touch screen. Each unit is delivered fully equipped to the customer’s configuration, with stretcher systems, defibrillator-monitor, ventilator, suction and infusion equipment to EN 1789.
